Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you type a name or a date of birth into a search box on this site, that entry goes straight to the outside company that runs the tool. The provider processes the query and returns the results to you. We do not store or log the search terms you enter on our end.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send us an email, we keep the message so we can reply to it. Your note stays with our team. We will not share it outside our organization unless a legal obligation requires us to.
Data We Gather Automatically
Every time a page on this site loads, our servers record a few technical details about the visit:
- Which browser you are using, and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The IP address assigned to your device
- The pages you opened and how long you stayed on each one
- The site that sent you here, if there was one
- A timestamp for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, the small files stored on your device that show us how visitors move through the pages. Analytics services collect that traffic data into aggregate reports, which is how we learn which pages help readers and which ones do not. You can block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Some parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Sending your search request to the right partner service
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Learning which pages readers find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical problems
- Showing advertising that may line up with your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, sell, or maintain any database of warrants or personal record information. What we publish is general guidance about where Grant Parish warrant records are kept and how to ask for them, covering the 35th Judicial District Court, the Grant Parish Clerk of Court, the Sheriff's Office, and the justice and mayor's courts. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is assembled into consumer reports or files about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search boxes on this site are operated by outside companies. Anything you enter into one of those tools is handled under that partner's own privacy policy, not this one. Those partners set their own retention and sharing rules, and we do not control them. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to the 35th Judicial District Court, the Clerk of Court, the Sheriff's Office, Louisiana statutes, legal aid organizations, and outside search services. Following any of those links takes you off this site, and the destination's privacy policy governs what happens next. Read it before you share personal details.
Some advertising partners may also track activity across sites in order to target ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may reach:
- Search partners that handle the queries you run here
- Analytics services we use to measure traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place advertising on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We follow standard security practices to protect the information we collect. Nothing connected to the internet is ever fully safe, so we cannot promise that a breach will never happen. We do what we reasonably can to keep your information secure.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us data, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Louisiana's Public Records Law, R.S. 44:1 and the sections that follow it govern access to records held by public bodies such as the Grant Parish Clerk of Court and the Sheriff's Office. That law does not apply to a private site like this one, so a request for an official warrant, docket, or case record goes to the agency that keeps it rather than to us. For the visitor information we do hold, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us correct information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of processing
Note: R.S. 44:31 gives adults the right to inspect public records, subject to the exceptions listed in R.S. 44:3 for law-enforcement and pending-litigation material.
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this privacy policy as the site changes. When we do, the new version appears on this page with a fresh effective date. Check back if you want to follow how we handle information.
