Pollock Warrant Checks
Pollock publishes a clear citation process but no online warrant lookup. The town payment page will take your money for a ticket. It will not tell you whether the case has turned into a failure to appear or a warrant. So the real warrant check happens by phone or at the counter. Give the citation clerk your citation number and the court date printed on the ticket, and ask directly. The town posts no public Pollock warrant list.
Pollock's Citation Clerk and Warrants
The citation clerk is Pollock's named contact for municipal citations. Call 318-765-3444 or email citations@townofpollockla.com, and write to P.O. Box 189. Keep this office straight from the police department. Police handle reports and agency questions. The clerk keeps the citation file and the court date, which makes that office the one to ask about a Pollock warrant.

Policing and Courts in Pollock
The Pollock Police Department keeps weekday office hours and a town email address, and it warns callers to be patient on court days. The municipal court hears the citations, and its courtroom sits apart from the police station. A ticket written by a town officer stays inside the town system the whole way. But a citation that names a justice court or the district court belongs to that court instead. That is why the court line on the ticket, not the officer who wrote it, decides your route. Read that line first. Note: The police department can explain its own report, but only the court can say what happened to a citation.
Pollock's 3927 LA-8 Warrant Court
Pollock's municipal court sits at 3927 LA-8, and court starts at 9:00 a.m. The date printed at the bottom of the ticket is the appearance date. Pay by that date and no appearance is required, the town says. Plan to contest it instead? Then appear in person rather than paying. If you are unsure what to do, call the clerk before the date arrives, because calls go unanswered on court dates. Note: Confirm the date and location with the clerk before traveling, since schedules can change.
Warrants in Pollock: The Main Types
Four kinds of process can follow a Pollock citation. Each starts with a different obligation, and all of them come back to the town court for resolution.
| Warrant type | How it arises | Who issues it |
|---|---|---|
| Traffic warrant | An unpaid citation or a missed traffic date | The municipal court |
| Failure-to-appear warrant | A missed court date after notice | The municipal judge |
| Ordinance warrant | An unresolved town code violation | The municipal court |
| Arrest warrant | A complaint and probable-cause showing | A magistrate |
Pollock's Two-Week Warrant Portal Lag
A ticket can take up to two weeks to show up in Pollock's online payment system, the town warns. Data entry causes the delay. It does not move the court date on the paper. If your date is close, call the clerk instead of waiting for the portal to catch up. Keep the paper ticket and copy the citation number exactly from the right-hand edge. Note: A ticket missing from the portal is a timing issue, not a dismissed case.
Pollock Warrant Payment Choices and Fees
Pollock takes payment by card online with a 10 percent fee, or by cashier's check or money order for the full fine, mailed to the Town of Pollock. Cash and personal checks are not accepted. Those rules differ from the parish ticket process, which takes cash and money orders in person with a smaller card surcharge. A payment fee is not a court fine, a bond, or a warrant fee. The town payment page repeats the ticket number and the two-week timing rule.
Pollock Warrant Payment Limits
A payment receipt proves money reached the town. It does not prove a warrant was recalled, a failure-to-appear entry removed, or the case closed. After paying, ask the Pollock clerk what the file shows and get the paperwork that documents it.
Caution: If a court date was missed, stop treating the matter as an ordinary payment and ask the clerk whether the court entered process.
Pollock Warrant Records: What They Show
A citation record ties a ticket number to a court, a charge, and a person. Check those fields first.
| Citation number | Printed at the right edge of the ticket, shown here as 000000 |
|---|---|
| Court | The municipal court at 3927 LA-8 unless another court is named |
| Charge | The offense as written on the citation |
| Date | The citation date and the court date at the bottom of the ticket |
| Fine and fee | The fine amount plus any online card fee |
| Status | Open, paid, continued, or referred for a failure to appear |
Pollock Warrants and Custody Questions
An arrest on a Pollock matter can land a person in the parish detention facility in Colfax. That jail holds people arrested by all six municipalities, by the Sheriff's Office, and by state agencies. For custody and bond questions, call 318-627-3724. Remember that the municipal court still controls the case and any warrant, so a jail answer never replaces a court answer. Note: Ask the jail about release and bond, and ask the municipal court about the case.
Pollock Warrants and Grant Parish
Pollock cases sit inside the wider Grant Parish court structure. Even so, a municipal citation stays with the town court, even when the person is booked into the parish jail.
Warrant flow: Pollock police › municipal court › parish detention on arrest › back to the municipal court for resolution.
For warrant records beyond Pollock, including the district court and other Grant Parish towns, see Grant Parish warrant records.
Accessing Pollock Warrant Records
Louisiana Public Records Law lets any adult inspect and copy public records, with a few exceptions. Ask for a specific citation or case entry within a date range. A general list of Pollock warrants is not what the town provides. Court records sit with the municipal court. The Sheriff's Office needs a written request by mail, and sealed or juvenile material follows separate rules.
Key Rules: R.S. 44:31 sets out the right of access. R.S. 44:3 covers law-enforcement exemptions. R.S. 32:57.1 covers failure to honor a traffic promise to appear.
