Why We Built This Site
Louisiana opens a good deal of court and law-enforcement material to public inspection, but the hard part is knowing which office holds the paper you need. A warrant never lives in one place. The judge who signs it sets the offense and the bond. The Sheriff's Office serves it and can say whether it is still outstanding. A bench warrant from a missed court date tends to stay with the court that set the case, and in Grant Parish that can mean a mayor's court in Colfax, Pollock, or Dry Prong, or one of the five justice-of-the-peace districts. The district court and the Clerk of Court, both at 200 Main Street in Colfax, hold the district-level filings and minute entries.
Louisiana's criminal history repository is closed to public inspection, so there is no statewide warrant list to fall back on when a local office comes up empty. Check one counter, find nothing, and it is easy to assume you are clear when you are not. We collect the addresses, phone numbers, request rules, and record limits for those offices in one place so a reader can start in the right spot instead of working through the whole parish one call at a time.
What You Will Find Here
The pages cover the routes a Grant Parish reader is most likely to need:
- Warrant checks: how to run a warrant search by name and date of birth through the district court, the Clerk of Court, and the Sheriff's Office
- Outstanding warrants: how to check active warrant status and what "active" means in a parish with no published roster
- Missed court dates: how a bench warrant arises from a Grant Parish docket and which court holds it
- Charge-based warrants: how arrest warrants are issued on probable cause and served in the parish
- City tickets and traffic: how an ordinance citation or a traffic warrant moves through a mayor's court or a justice court
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to the 35th Judicial District Court, the Grant Parish Clerk of Court, the Sheriff's Office, or any Louisiana agency. The limits are real:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm that a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a walk-through at the courthouse
- We cannot give legal advice or say how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or listing here is current today
Only the court that issued the warrant, or the Sheriff's Office unit that holds it, can confirm whether it is still active or has been recalled. We can point you to the right office, but the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages carry search boxes run by outside companies. Those providers set their own prices and run their own services. When one of those tools leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee, and that revenue keeps this site free to use. We do not control what a partner charges or what its results contain, and a partner's output is not an official warrant check.
